Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and dining
- Monitor and report vital signs and changes in resident condition
- Support residents with mobility and safe transfers
- Document care accurately and maintain resident records
- Partner with nurses and care team to ensure safety and comfort
Qualifications
- Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Experience caring for older adults in long-term care settings
- Completed COVID-19 vaccination or documented exemption
- Ability to pass background checks and provide valid identification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of personal care and ADL assistance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a care team
- Attention to detail in documentation and reporting
- Physical stamina and safe lifting techniques
