Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, respectful care to geriatric residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and eating
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, and repositioning to ensure comfort and safety
• Observe and document residents' conditions, reporting changes to nursing staff
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents
• Communicate with the care team to deliver individualized, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification required
• Must have completed the COVID-19 vaccination series or present a documented medical/religious exemption
• Must bring state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times
• Compassionate, dependable, and attentive to residents' needs
• Previous experience in geriatric or long-term care preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ADL assistance and proper body mechanics
• Strong observation and communication skills
• Ability to follow care plans and document accurately
• Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
• Empathy and patience when working with elderly residents
