Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists with a variety of orthodontic procedures and treatments
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments are sterilized and organized
• Take dental X-rays and digital impressions of patients
• Provide outstanding patient care and help educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Complete and maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Support the dental office workflow to ensure smooth, efficient operations

Qualifications

• Certified or registered Dental Assistant as required by Maryland state regulations
• X-ray certification and experience with dental radiography
• Prior orthodontic assisting experience is highly preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming patient environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, materials, and procedures
• Familiarity with dental software such as Denticon
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Team player with a positive attitude and a passion for patient care
