Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures and treatments
• Prepare patients and the operatory for each appointment
• Take dental X-rays, photographs, and impressions as directed
• Fabricate and adjust orthodontic appliances and retainers
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain sterilization and infection control standards
• Document patient care using Denticon practice management software

Qualifications

• Orthodontic certification is required
• Prior dental assisting experience, ideally in orthodontics
• Ability to work a Monday shift from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM
• Warm, professional bedside manner with patients of all ages
• Comfortable using dental practice management software like Denticon

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and terminology
• Skilled in taking dental X-rays and intraoral scans
• Understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment
