Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures and patient evaluations
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatory rooms
• Take dental radiographs and digital impressions as directed
• Educate patients on orthodontic treatment and oral hygiene
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Manage orthodontic supplies and ensure the office runs efficiently

Qualifications

• Must be orthodontic certified (required)
• Previous experience as a dental assistant, preferably in orthodontics
• Proficiency with dental software and digital imaging systems
• Current CPR certification preferred
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, brackets, and appliances
• Skill in taking impressions, X-rays, and clinical photographs
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and families
