Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during procedures and patient evaluations
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatory rooms
- Take dental radiographs and digital impressions as directed
- Educate patients on orthodontic treatment and oral hygiene
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
- Manage orthodontic supplies and ensure the office runs efficiently
Qualifications
- Must be orthodontic certified (required)
- Previous experience as a dental assistant, preferably in orthodontics
- Proficiency with dental software and digital imaging systems
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, brackets, and appliances
- Skill in taking impressions, X-rays, and clinical photographs
- Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and families
