Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough dental cleanings and preventive care to patients
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and at-home care techniques
• Perform periodontal assessments and chart patient conditions
• Collaborate with the dentist and dental assistant to ensure smooth patient flow
• Maintain a clean, sterile clinical environment following safety protocols
• Manage patient comfort and address concerns during treatment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in New Jersey
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in dental hygiene procedures and instrumentation
• Ability to work efficiently with an assigned dental assistant

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene instruments and sterilization techniques
• Understanding of periodontal diseases and preventive care
• Skill in patient education and oral hygiene instruction
• Proficiency with dental charting software
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
