Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during exams and procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
• Take dental X-rays and maintain patient records
• Help educate young patients on proper oral hygiene in a fun, engaging way
• Provide comfort and reassurance to children and their families
• Ensure a smooth patient flow and support the clinical team

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or state-recognized qualification preferred
• Current radiography (X-ray) certification
• Experience working with children in a dental or healthcare setting is a plus
• CPR/First Aid certification
• A warm, patient, and compassionate demeanor

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization standards
• Ability to make kids feel comfortable and at ease
