Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM start with variable end times, block scheduling with manager, includes call rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $98 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist surgeons as the first assistant during a wide variety of procedures
Provide expert support across ortho, robotics, neuro, GYN, urology, vascular, and general surgery cases
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth case flow and patient safety
Float between campuses as needed to support the broader surgical services team
Respond to call within 30 minutes to provide critical coverage when the unexpected happens

Qualifications

Active RN license with RNFA certification or equivalent
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong experience in ortho, robotics, neuro, and GYN specialties
Robotics experience is a must-have skill for this role
Comfortable scrubbing when needed and working in a fast-paced OR environment

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with Cerner electronic medical records
Skilled in first assisting across multiple surgical specialties
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Flexible and adaptable when floating between campuses
Reliable and responsive during call rotations
