Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients for endoscopic procedures, ensuring safety and comfort
• Assist physicians during endoscopy and ERCP procedures by anticipating needs and managing equipment
• Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure, recognizing and responding to changes in condition
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure all endoscopy instruments and scopes are handled according to policy
• Document patient assessments, procedure details, and post-procedure instructions accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with the GI team, anesthesia, and support staff to coordinate efficient, high-quality care
• Provide patient education and compassionate post-procedure coaching to promote recovery and follow-up

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential - required
• Experience in ERCP required
• Demonstrated experience in endoscopy nursing or related GI procedural nursing
• Ability to comply with the facility 30-mile radius rule
• Comfort working day-shift procedural schedules and participating in weekend call rotation

Education

• Nursing education (ADN or BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on endoscopy knowledge and familiarity with GI procedural workflows
• Skill in patient monitoring and recognizing procedure-related complications
• Strong documentation and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to maintain sterile technique and manage procedural equipment
• Calm, organized approach to fast-paced procedure days and schedule variability
