Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide immediate medical attention to patients in critical condition, including administering medications and following treatment plans
- Stabilize and monitor patients, collaborating closely with physicians and the care team
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families about care and next steps
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of medical histories, treatments, and patient status
- Contribute to an efficient, safe ER environment by following protocols and supporting unit operations
- Lift, move, and assist patients and equipment safely, maintaining a high standard of care
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential appropriate for practice
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- Comfort and skill in triage and emergency nursing care
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical nursing knowledge specific to emergency care
- Patient assessment and triage skills
- Clear, compassionate patient and family communication
- Accurate clinical documentation and record keeping
- Teamwork and collaboration with physicians and allied health staff
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital setting
