Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and process portable X-Ray exams using digital (DR) or computed (CR) equipment and transmit images to a Radiologist for interpretation
• Unload and transport portable X-Ray equipment into nursing homes and other care facilities to complete physician-ordered exams
• Obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent X-ray images for high-quality patient care
• Perform EKGs when required and transmit traces to a Cardiologist for review
• Scan exam-related paperwork and billing documents daily per protocol
• Communicate regularly and professionally with dispatch, management, peers, and client site staff
• Maintain and perform routine care on vehicle and radiography equipment to ensure reliability
• Follow infection control, documentation, and safety protocols while delivering bedside diagnostic services

Qualifications

• ARRT certification — REQUIRED
• California State Radiologic Technologist license — REQUIRED (neither limited nor pending licenses accepted)
• Valid driver’s license — REQUIRED
• Comfortable and experienced with Mobile/Portable X-Ray procedures
• Proficiency with Digital Radiography (DR) and Computed Radiography (CR)
• EKG experience preferred/used as needed
• Ability to safely push/pull and handle equipment (50–100 lbs at times) and perform repeat visits across facilities
• Professional communication skills and reliable interaction with clinical teams and clients

Education

• ARRT certification and California State Radiologic Technologist License (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient communication and bedside manner for post-acute populations
• Image transmission workflows and sending studies to Radiologists/ Cardiologists
• Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting for portable radiography units
• Daily paperwork and billing document scanning and record-keeping
• Time management and route planning for mobile visits
• Ability to follow clinical protocols and maintain high-quality diagnostic imaging standards
