Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform general diagnostic radiology and general X-ray exams with accuracy and compassion
• Operate Carestream Ascend imaging equipment and manage studies through PACS
• Collaborate with technologists and radiology staff to prioritize studies and maintain workflow during busy days
• Ensure quality imaging for orthopedic and general radiology exams, supporting excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain clear, professional communication with patients and report to Radiology Supervisor Kali Kesler
• Follow departmental policies including BLS standards and ARRT/AZ DHS licensing requirements
• Document imaging and charting in Cerner/Change Healthcare with attention to detail

Qualifications

• Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) required
• AZ DHS Bureau of Special Licensing CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of radiologic technologist experience (general diagnostic radiology preferred)
• Comfortable performing general X-ray and orthopedic imaging; able to handle moderate-to-high daily volumes (30–80 studies)
• Familiarity with PACS workflows and charting in Cerner/Change Healthcare

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with general diagnostic radiology and general X-ray techniques
• Experience with orthopedic imaging protocols
• Comfortable using PACS for image retrieval and routing
• Familiar with Cerner (Change Healthcare) charting and workflow
• Hands-on experience with Carestream Ascend imaging equipment
• Strong patient positioning, radiation safety, and image quality skills
• Ability to maintain throughput during busy shifts while ensuring patient-centered care
