Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality adult neurology outpatient care, typically seeing 15–20 patients per day
• Perform EMG procedures and interpret neurophysiology studies with accuracy and care
• Manage inpatient neurology consults as needed, collaborating with hospital teams
• Document thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC to ensure coordinated patient care
• Participate in on-call coverage and timely patient triage during assigned call days
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including APPs, lab and imaging services
• Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and clinic workflow enhancements

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completion of an accredited Neurology residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
• Active or ability to obtain an Ohio medical license and DEA registration
• Proven experience with EMG procedures and adult neurology patient care
• Comfortable using EPIC electronic health record for clinical documentation
• Willingness to live within a 40-mile radius of Ashtabula or to relocate
• Open to H-1B and J-1 visa candidates (locum tenens candidates not being considered)

Education

• MD or DO (Neurology residency required)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical knowledge in adult neurology and neurodiagnostic testing (EMG)
• Proficiency with EPIC for charting, orders, and communication
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner for outpatient and inpatient settings
• Ability to manage a moderately high clinic volume efficiently (15–20 patients/day)
• Collaborative approach to working with physicians, APPs, nursing, and ancillary staff
• Good clinical decision-making for both routine outpatient care and inpatient consults
