Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform selected physical therapy procedures and therapeutic modalities under the direction of a registered Physical Therapist
• Deliver therapeutic exercise programs tailored to each patient’s approved treatment plan
• Document daily treatment notes and discharge data accurately and promptly
• Assist the Physical Therapist while understanding and respecting the assistant scope of practice
• Provide compassionate care across the lifespan, from infants to geriatric patients
• Help maintain the department in a neat, organized, and professional manner
• Communicate effectively with the care team to support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Oklahoma state PTA license (required)
• BLS (AHA) certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years acute and MS PTA experience (required)
• Recent traveler experience preferred
• NIHSS certification is a plus
• Reliable work history and current contact/profile information for submission

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with therapeutic modalities and therapeutic exercise
• Skilled in documentation of daily notes and discharge data
• Experience assisting under supervision of a registered Physical Therapist
• Comfortable treating patients across the lifespan: infant to geriatric
• Acute care and MS (multiple sclerosis or musculoskeletal) PTA experience
• Strong patient communication and teamwork skills
