Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality physical therapy services to promote patient mobility and independence
• Assess patient condition, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress
• Deliver therapeutic interventions such as gait training, strength and balance programs, and functional mobility training
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety strategies
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the facility charting system

Qualifications

• Licensed or license-eligible Physical Therapist for the state of California
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Comfortable working in varied clinical settings and adapting to site-specific protocols
• Strong clinical reasoning, patient communication, and documentation skills
• Available to start for the 13-week contract beginning 2026-02-10

Education

• Degree in Physical Therapy (e.g., DPT or equivalent) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, therapeutic exercise, and mobility training
• Experience with discharge planning and patient education
• Proficient documentation practices and ability to learn facility EMR quickly
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork within multidisciplinary settings
• Ability to manage caseloads safely and efficiently while prioritizing patient outcomes
