Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients thoroughly and develop individualized treatment plans that aim for real functional gains
• Implement and adjust therapeutic interventions using evidence-based techniques
• Document evaluations, treatment goals, and progress clearly and on time
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehab professionals to coordinate care
• Delegate and supervise appropriate tasks to PTAs and support staff to meet patient goals
• Educate patients and families to empower recovery and long-term wellness
• Practice within the Illinois Physical Therapy Practice Act and department procedures to ensure safe, compliant care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist program
• Illinois Physical Therapy license required, or eligible for a temporary work permit
• Prior demonstrable experience preferred; 1 year in a hospital setting preferred and outpatient experience expected
• Experience supervising PTA or working with support staff
• Strong documentation skills and knowledge of Illinois Physical Therapy Practice Act
• Friendly communicator who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment

Education

• Graduate of accredited Physical Therapist program
