Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately
• Collaborate with physical therapists and interdisciplinary team to modify care plans
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention
• Maintain treatment equipment and ensure a safe therapy environment

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Maine
• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to high‑quality patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of post‑acute brain injury and stroke rehabilitation techniques
• Proficiency in therapeutic modalities and equipment
• Understanding of documentation standards and HIPAA compliance
• Skill in patient education and motivation
• Ability to assess functional mobility and gait
