Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait training and functional mobility work
• Help residents rebuild strength and confidence after surgery, injury or illness
• Document progress accurately and celebrate every win along the way
• Collaborate with nursing, occupational therapy and the rehab team to build personalized care plans
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe movement techniques

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Massachusetts
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program
• Current BLS certification
• Skilled nursing or long term care experience preferred, but new travelers are welcome to apply
• A compassionate, patient-first mindset and a willingness to jump in and help
• Must bring a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times on site

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on therapeutic exercise and manual technique skills
• Gait training and balance intervention know-how
• Familiarity with functional outcome measures and progress tracking
• Clear, warm communication with patients, families and teammates
• Time management skills that keep treatments and documentation on track
• Comfort using electronic medical records and rehab documentation systems
