Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and build personalized treatment plans that help them get back to daily life
• Deliver hands-on occupational therapy interventions focused on function, mobility and independence
• Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques, home exercises and safety strategies
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, therapists and physicians to align care goals
• Document evaluations, progress notes and discharge plans accurately and on time
• Adapt treatment approaches to each patient's abilities, goals and living situation
• Monitor progress and adjust care plans to keep outcomes moving in the right direction
• Mentor and support patients through every milestone, big or small

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist license in Washington State
• NBCOT certification as an Occupational Therapist
• Current BLS certification
• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a genuine love for patient care
• Ability to bring a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at the facility
• Self starter attitude with the flexibility that travel assignments reward

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient evaluation and individualized treatment planning
• Therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and adaptive equipment training
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for a variety of diagnoses
• Electronic medical record documentation and time management
• Team collaboration and clear patient and family education
