Roles & Responsibilities

• Welcome patients warmly and help them feel comfortable before treatment
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
• Assist hygienists and dentists during exams and procedures
• Keep supplies stocked and organized for smooth appointments
• Support accurate patient records and charting
• Follow infection control and safety protocols with care

Qualifications

• Dental assisting experience or clinical training is preferred
• Current BLS or CPR certification is a plus
• Radiology or X-ray certification is helpful if required by Virginia
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate chairside manner
• Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced dental office
• Comfort working with dental software and equipment

• Chairside dental assisting and four-handed dentistry basics
• Sterilization and infection control best practices
• Dental terminology and patient charting
• Digital X-ray and imaging support
• Patient scheduling and supply management
• Team communication and patient care
