Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to ensure a safe, welcoming environment
• Assist the orthodontist during bonding, banding, wire changes, and adjustments
• Take dental radiographs and capture clear images for accurate treatment planning
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, retainer care, and orthodontic best practices
• Keep patient records organized and up to date using electronic charting
• Manage orthodontic supplies and inventory so the team is always ready
• Support a friendly, efficient patient flow from check-in to check-out

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Dental Assistant, such as CDA or RDA
• Maryland Dental Assistant licensure or registration if required
• Orthodontic dental assisting experience preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate chairside manner
• Ability to work evening hours from 1:30 PM to 9:00 PM
