Physical Therapist - Acute Inpatient
Location: Bakersfield, California
Start Date: 06-09-2026
End Date: 09-08-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
- Develop personalized therapy plans for post-surgical, orthopedic, and neurological patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery outcomes
- Document progress and adjust treatment approaches based on patient response
- Support patients through critical phases of healing and rehabilitation
Qualifications
- Active California Physical Therapist license required
- BLS certification needed
- Acute Inpatient PT experience essential
- Comfortable working with diverse patient populations including post-surgical and neurological cases
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and clinical reasoning abilities
- Experience with TKA, THA, spinal surgery, and CVA patients
- Ability to adapt quickly across different hospital departments
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
