Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-05-2026

End Date: 09-04-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across acute inpatient units
Treat diverse patient populations including post-surgical, orthopedic, stroke, and general medical cases
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER settings
Develop individualized treatment plans that promote recovery and independence
Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the care team
Mentor and guide patients through their rehabilitation journey

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification required
Acute Inpatient PT experience required
Strong clinical skills in treating orthopedic, neurological, and medical patients

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in acute inpatient physical therapy interventions
Ability to manage a variety of diagnoses including TKA, THA, spinal surgery, and CVA
Comfort working in fast-paced hospital environments including ICU and ER
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Flexibility to adapt to different hospital units and patient needs
