Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (30-minute meal break)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare, package, and dispense prescription medications for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Support daily pharmacy workflows in a high-volume Central Fill environment
- Manage pharmaceutical and drug supply inventory while maintaining precise logs
- Streamline medication supply chain and distribution across correctional facilities
- Operate pharmacy equipment and ensure a clean, safe work area
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver timely and accurate medication therapy
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (PHTEC) required
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license preferred
- Experience in inpatient or outpatient pharmacy settings is a plus
- Ability to handle high-volume workflow with attention to detail
- Comfortable working within a correctional healthcare environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of medication dispensing and packaging procedures
- Inventory management and documentation skills
- Understanding of pharmaceutical calculations and compounding
- Familiarity with pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing equipment
- Commitment to infection control and safety protocols
