Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, and dispense prescription medications for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Support daily pharmacy workflows in a high-volume Central Fill environment
• Manage pharmaceutical and drug supply inventory while maintaining precise logs
• Streamline medication supply chain and distribution across correctional facilities
• Operate pharmacy equipment and ensure a clean, safe work area
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver timely and accurate medication therapy

Qualifications

• Current Pharmacy Technician certification (PHTEC) required
• Active California Pharmacy Technician license preferred
• Experience in inpatient or outpatient pharmacy settings is a plus
• Ability to handle high-volume workflow with attention to detail
• Comfortable working within a correctional healthcare environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of medication dispensing and packaging procedures
• Inventory management and documentation skills
• Understanding of pharmaceutical calculations and compounding
• Familiarity with pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing equipment
• Commitment to infection control and safety protocols
