Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 4x10hrs 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM or 5x8hrs 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, no call, no weekends

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert post-anesthesia care to diverse patients from infants to geriatrics in a bustling 20-bay PACU
Monitor and manage vascular access, central lines, and A-lines with precision and confidence
Administer critical medications like fentanyl and dilaudid while titrating vasoactive drips such as dopamine
Perform advanced procedures including sheath removal, cardioversion, and procedural sedation to ensure smooth recoveries
Collaborate with charge nurses, anesthesiology providers, and ICU teams for top-tier patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Missouri or compact state
PACU or critical care nursing experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required

Education

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

IV insertion, PICC/central line management, and vascular device care
A-line management, 12-lead EKG, and tele interpretation
Sheath removal, cardioversion/defibrillation, and procedural sedation
CPAP/BiPAP, trach care, epidural/PCA pumps, chemo administration, and wound vac
Preferred: Epicardial pacer management
