Roles & Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with a warm smile and help them feel comfortable before orthodontic visits
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to keep every appointment safe and smooth
• Assist the orthodontist during exams, adjustments, and procedures with a steady, helping hand
• Take dental radiographs and intraoral scans as directed
• Teach patients about braces, aligners, and oral hygiene in a clear, encouraging way
• Keep accurate patient records and treatment notes up to date
• Manage clinical supplies and keep the treatment area organized

Qualifications

• Orthodontic certification required
• Current Maryland Dental Assistant credentials or willingness to obtain them
• Radiography certification is a plus
• CPR/BLS certification is a plus
• Previous dental or orthodontic assisting experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• A caring, patient-focused approach
