Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver gentle and thorough dental cleanings that keep patients smiling
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
• Assess oral health and identify areas that need extra attention
• Educate patients on brushing, flossing, and preventative care
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a safe, clean clinical environment
• Collaborate with dentists and team members to create positive patient experiences

Qualifications

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
• Clinical experience in a dental office or clinic
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

• Periodontal assessments and dental prophylaxis
• Dental radiography and X-ray safety
• Infection control and sterilization protocols
• Electronic health record documentation
