Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures and ensure a smooth patient flow
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to keep everything clean and safe
• Take and process dental radiographs and intraoral scans as needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records using Denticon software

Qualifications

• Orthodontic certification is required for this role
• Prior dental assisting experience, especially in orthodontics, is valued
• Comfortable using Denticon or a similar dental software
• A current Maryland dental assistant license or ability to meet state requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and best practices
• Hands-on skills with dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Strong communication skills for explaining care to patients
• Detail-oriented mindset for accurate documentation and record keeping
