Roles & Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse oximetry, to ensure patient safety during oral surgery procedures
• Assist with nitrous oxide and IV sedation monitoring, helping patients feel calm and comfortable
• Capture high-quality panoramic X-rays for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
• Support the surgical team during wisdom tooth extractions and other oral surgery procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and supplies are sterile and ready
• Provide compassionate post-operative care instructions to patients and their families

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a dental assistant, preferably in an oral surgery setting
• Certification or training in taking panoramic X-rays
• Comfort and experience with nitrous oxide and IV sedation
• Knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile techniques
• Current CPR certification is a plus
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
