Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead dentist during a variety of procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
  • Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety
  • Take and develop dental X-rays with precision, ensuring accurate diagnostic results
  • Provide compassionate patient care, explaining procedures and easing any anxieties
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update charts in our digital system
  • Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional oral healthcare experiences

Qualifications

  • Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent formal training
  • Valid X-ray (Radiology) certification in New York State
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • 1-2 years of experience in a dental office (preferred but not required)
  • A warm, friendly demeanor and a passion for patient care

Knowledge & Skills

  • Understanding of dental anatomy, terminology, and procedures
  • Proficient in sterilization techniques and infection control standards
  • Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
