Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the lead dentist during a variety of procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
- Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision, ensuring accurate diagnostic results
- Provide compassionate patient care, explaining procedures and easing any anxieties
- Maintain accurate patient records and update charts in our digital system
- Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional oral healthcare experiences
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent formal training
- Valid X-ray (Radiology) certification in New York State
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- 1-2 years of experience in a dental office (preferred but not required)
- A warm, friendly demeanor and a passion for patient care
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of dental anatomy, terminology, and procedures
- Proficient in sterilization techniques and infection control standards
- Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
