Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene services, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Review patient medical histories and chart dental conditions
• Work collaboratively with the dentist and dental assistant to ensure efficient 30-minute appointment flow
• Maintain aseptic conditions and sterilize instruments according to protocols

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Dental Hygiene license in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong clinical skills and attention to patient comfort
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced practice

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and preventive care
• Excellent patient communication and chairside manner
• Familiarity with dental instruments, sterilization, and infection control
• Time management skills to handle 30-minute appointments smoothly
• Ability to work closely with dental assistants and other team members
