Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform dental prophylaxis and cleanings to keep patients' smiles healthy
• Assess oral health conditions and document findings for the dentist
• Take and process dental X-rays with care and precision
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment
• Assist the dentist during procedures as needed

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Prior clinical experience in dental hygiene is preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude
• Ability to work efficiently and compassionately in a fast-paced dental practice

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and radiography
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Commitment to infection control and safety standards
