Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
• Prepare patients for treatment and make them feel comfortable and at ease
• Sterilize and organize instruments, maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Take and develop dental X-rays to support accurate diagnoses
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care practices
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans as needed

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or willing to obtain certification in Maryland
• Experience in orthodontic assisting is a plus, but we welcome eager learners
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain one
• Strong communication skills to interact with patients and team members
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Proficiency in taking dental X-rays and using dental software
• Excellent infection control and sterilization practices
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Compassionate patient care skills to build trust and comfort
