Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide advanced, evidence-based neonatal care across four Level-III NICUs
• Manage high-acuity ventilator strategies including high-frequency ventilation and iNO therapy
• Implement total body cooling protocols for infants with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy
• Coordinate and participate in neonatal transport and emergency stabilization
• Collaborate closely with neonatologists and pediatric subspecialists to optimize outcomes
• Rotate through multiple sites and shifts to ensure consistent 24/7 neonatal coverage
• Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives and mentor team members
• Communicate compassionately with families and support them through the NICU journey

Qualifications

• Neonatal advanced practice experience (NNP or equivalent neonatal NP practice experience)
• Demonstrated NICU experience in a Level-III setting with ventilator and critical care skills
• Experience with neonatal transport, emergency stabilization and multi-site rotations
• Comfort managing high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) and total body cooling
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with neonatologists and pediatric subspecialists
• Committed to mentorship, continuous quality improvement and family-centered care
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.; position is not open to visa candidates and not accepting locum tenens applicants

Education

• Advanced practice nursing degree (e.g., MSN, DNP) or post-master’s NP preparation preferred
• Neonatal-focused training/certification or equivalent clinical experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep knowledge of NICU clinical care and advanced neonatal interventions
• Skill in ventilator management, including jet and oscillator high-frequency modes
• Familiarity with inhaled nitric oxide therapy and therapeutic hypothermia protocols
• Ability to perform emergency stabilization and coordinate neonatal transports
• Strong communication, family-centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Experience with continuous quality improvement and staff mentorship
