Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment safely and skillfully to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Position and prepare patients with compassion and clear communication
• Follow imaging protocols and safety standards, including MRI safety screening
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and clinical staff to ensure accurate studies
• Maintain accurate patient and procedural documentation in electronic systems
• Troubleshoot equipment and escalate technical issues to appropriate teams
• Support on-call needs as scheduled to keep patient care running smoothly

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience
• Current state licensure or certification required for MRI technologists, as applicable
• ARRT MRI certification or equivalent is preferred
• Ability to work overnight shifts and participate in on-call rotation (4-5 days/month)
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Basic life support certification encouraged

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology or MRI program; high school diploma or GED minimum

Knowledge & Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of MRI protocols and safety procedures
• Skill with patient positioning and cross-sectional anatomy relevant to MRI
• Familiarity with PACS and radiology documentation workflows
• Ability to handle high-acuity or anxious patients with professionalism
• Good problem solving and time management skills during busy shifts
