Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across three outpatient clinics (Cardiothoracic, Vascular Surgery, Pediatric Cardiology) to ensure smooth patient flow
• Lead, mentor, and hold staff accountable — coach teams to deliver excellent outpatient care
• Monitor clinic workflows and implement improvements to boost efficiency and patient satisfaction
• Coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, and administrative teams to support patient scheduling and charting
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety procedures, and infection control standards
• Manage clinical resources and help resolve operational issues that impact patient care
• Float within scope to support other clinic areas as needed

Qualifications

• Current CA LVN license (required)
• 3-5 years of charge/manager experience within the past 3 years (required)
• BLS (AHA or ARC) — required
• IV certification — required
• Flu vaccinated (facility requires no exemptions/no declinations)
• Ambulatory/outpatient clinic experience — required
• Experience managing staff, scheduling, and accountability in an outpatient surgical or cardiac specialty (preferred)
• Epic experience (preferred)
• Cardiology experience (preferred)

Education

• Vocational Nursing program completion (LVN) or equivalent
• High school diploma or GED minimum

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong outpatient clinic workflows and ambulatory care knowledge
• Charting experience (Epic preferred) and solid documentation practices
• Staff leadership, performance assessment, and conflict resolution
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Familiarity with pediatric and adult patient populations in cardiology settings
• Ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to change, and maintain operational flexibility
