Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on each shift
- Administer medications and perform clinical treatments safely and accurately
- Assess and monitor patient status, promptly reporting changes to the care team
- Document care thoroughly and maintain clear, timely records
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists and providers to deliver coordinated care
- Support patient and family education to promote recovery and well-being
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
- Contribute to smooth shift handoffs and clear communication across the team
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in Maine (must be active and in good standing)
- Willingness and ability to work the required weekend schedule: Saturday, Sunday and Monday
- Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM) and sustaining a 36-hour weekly cadence
- Previous LPN experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and vital sign monitoring skills
- Competency in medication administration and documentation
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
- Clear communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
- Time management and prioritization during busy 12-hour shifts
- Basic wound care and safe clinical practice skills
