Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long term care setting
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately during night shift
• Perform thorough assessments and document resident condition changes in the record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support care plans and transitions
• Support residents with activities of daily living and ensure a comfortable, safe environment overnight
• Communicate clearly with day-shift staff on handoffs to maintain continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Michigan LPN license listed as active on LARA and/or Nursys
• Minimum 2+ years of recent Long Term Care (LTC) experience required
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Skills checklist current to within 1 year specific to LTC care (required document)
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years (required documents)
• Candidates must provide permanent address; facility will not consider local candidates within a 100-mile radius
• All scheduling requests must be submitted at time of application; facility cannot approve post-offer scheduling changes

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong LTC clinical skills including medication administration and resident assessments
• Ability to manage common long term care conditions and respond to overnight changes
• Effective oral and written communication for clear shift handoffs
• Basic competency with electronic medical records and documentation
• Good time management and prioritization during 12-hour night shifts
• Team collaboration and respectful resident-centered care approach
