Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate patient care consistent with LPN scope of practice
- Administer medications and document accurately to support excellent outcomes
- Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the care team promptly
- Assist with nursing procedures and support efficient unit workflow
- Maintain clear, timely clinical documentation and handoffs
- Collaborate with nurses, providers and support staff to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential
- Valid basic life support CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Comfort and ability to work 12.5-hour clinical shifts
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Current, unrestricted license to practice as an LPN (state-specific requirements will apply)
- Proof of required immunizations and ability to pass background checks as required
Education
- Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing or equivalent training
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices
- Patient assessment and clinical observation skills
- Basic wound care and common procedural assistance
- Electronic medical record charting and accurate handoffs
- Infection control and patient safety protocols
- Compassionate patient and family communication
