Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered ICU nursing care during the overnight shift
• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing changes and intervening promptly
• Administer medications and intravenous therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
• Deliver compassionate education and support to patients and their families
• Respond effectively to emergencies and participate in rapid response/critical events

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California (or eligibility to obtain one prior to shift)
• Experience working in an ICU setting (per-diem ICU experience preferred)
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred or required depending on facility policy
• Comfortable caring for ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and monitoring
• Ventilator management basics and familiarity with advanced airway care
• Hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications
• IV infusions, medication administration, and titration safety
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation proficiency
• Calm decision-making under pressure and excellent prioritization
