Roles & Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately and provide clinical pharmacy services to support inpatient units including ICU, Labor & Delivery, Medical/Surgical, and the Emergency Department
• Work independently during weekend rotations, ensuring safe and effective pharmacotherapy for all patients
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to optimize medication regimens and promote positive patient outcomes
• Perform medication order verification, drug interaction screening, and pharmacokinetic monitoring
• Assist with medication reconciliation and patient education to support seamless transitions of care
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current hospital pharmacy experience is required (2-5 years preferred)
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification - required at time of submission
• New Hampshire State Pharmacist License - can be applied for at time of offer, but must be current before start
• Critical access hospital experience highly preferred
• Previous travel experience is a plus
• Proficiency with Meditech and Omnicell is preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong independent decision-making skills, especially for weekend coverage
• Solid knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, including order verification and clinical monitoring
• Familiarity with Meditech EHR and Omnicell medication dispensing systems
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to support a variety of units including ICU, L&D, M/S, and ED
