Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to elderly residents, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Monitor and document vital signs, promptly reporting any changes to nursing staff
• Support residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and dignity
• Engage residents in social and recreational activities, promoting emotional well-being
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment to enhance resident quality of life

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification
• Completion of a recognized GNA training program
• Current COVID-19 vaccination or documented religious/medical exemption
• Demonstrated ability to lift and transfer patients safely
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of geriatric patient needs and long-term care practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with residents, families, and staff
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
• Attention to detail in documentation and care delivery
