Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional dental hygiene care to patients of all ages
• Perform thorough dental cleanings and oral health assessments
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
• Assist the dentist during procedures and treatments
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Sterilize and prepare dental instruments to ensure a safe environment
• Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to protect teeth

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Strong commitment to patient comfort and quality care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental radiography and X-ray safety
• Knowledge of periodontal therapy and scaling/root planing
• Familiarity with dental charting software and EHR systems
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
• Skill in patient education and oral hygiene counseling
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
