Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis for patients of all ages
• Take and process dental radiographs with attention to patient safety
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
• Maintain sterilization and infection control standards in the operatory

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Previous experience in a dental office preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Proficiency with dental radiography and imaging software
• Understanding of OSHA and infection control regulations
• Excellent patient education and chairside manners
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
