Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings and preventive care procedures with precision and care
• Take and develop dental x-rays to assist with diagnosis
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and at-home care
• Document patient care and treatment plans accurately
• Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive dental care
• Maintain a clean and sterile working environment

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR certification
• Strong interpersonal and patient-care skills
• Previous experience as a dental hygienist is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Understanding of dental radiography and safety protocols
• Knowledge of infection control standards
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Ability to use dental software for patient records
• Attention to detail and gentle touch
