Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Day shift, 10-hour shifts
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform nerve conduction studies (NCS) and autonomic studies on patients with peripheral and autonomic nervous system disorders
- Collaborate closely with physicians in both inpatient and outpatient settings to ensure accurate diagnostics
- Prepare patients for electrodiagnostic procedures, explaining each step to ease anxiety
- Maintain and calibrate EMG equipment to ensure high-quality test results
- Document all test findings accurately in EPIC charting system
- Uphold strict infection control and patient safety protocols, including fingernail policy compliance
Qualifications
- Active BLS (AHA) certification
- Registry by American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM) or American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists (AAET)
- Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R.NCS.T) via AAET
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in neurodiagnostic testing
- Ability to reside within 50 miles of the facility (valid driver's license required at submission)
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in nerve conduction studies, autonomic testing, and electromyography
- Solid understanding of neuroanatomy, physiology, and pathology of the nervous system
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
- Strong patient education and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment
