Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during patient exams, adjustments, and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and oral hygiene
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment charts
• Provide a warm, reassuring presence for patients of all ages

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant certification (CDA, RDA, or equivalent)
• X-ray certification/licensure in Maryland
• Experience in orthodontics preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental terminology and procedures
• Proficiency with dental software and patient record management
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team member
• Compassionate and patient-first approach to care
