Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately
• Monitor and assess residents' health status, promptly communicating changes to the care team
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary staff to create and update individualized care plans
• Document patient care thoroughly and in a timely manner
• Support residents and their families with education and emotional encouragement

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted LPN or RN license in the state of Maine
• BLS/CPR certification
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatrics is a plus
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with facility requirements
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Compassionate, dependable, and adaptable

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) documentation
• Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
• Patient-centered approach to care with attention to dignity and respect
