Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, thorough dental cleanings and preventive care
• Examine patients' oral health and collaborate on personalized treatment plans
• Take and develop dental X-rays to catch issues early
• Educate patients on brushing, flossing, and overall oral wellness
• Maintain a sterile, welcoming environment following infection control protocols
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Prior clinical dental hygiene experience preferred
• Excellent patient communication and chairside manner
• Commitment to safety and infection control

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Proficiency in taking and interpreting dental radiographs
• Comfort with dental software for charting and records
• Understanding of OSHA, HIPAA, and sterilization protocols
• Attention to detail and a gentle, calm approach
• Ability to build rapport with patients and team members
