Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and preventative care to keep smiles healthy
• Assess patients' oral health and report findings to the dentist
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Assist the dentist during procedures while ensuring patient comfort
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Experience providing patient care in a dental setting is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, caring demeanor

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization methods, and infection control
• Proficiency in taking dental radiographs
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
• Ability to work effectively as part of a dental team
